Before we get started, this place has been very well covered by a couple of people including HugieD. Who has really gone into much more detail than this write up will cover but here we go...

Another 2 man trip to Derbyshire this weekend to scout an upcoming explore and to tick some more underground places off the list.

Hanging flat mine started in the 1800s originally mining galena extract. In the 1950s to early 60s it was later reused to mine fluorspar. It then featured in a tv show in more recent years. Again HugieD's report covers all this in much greater detail.

Onto the fun bits then... so the entrance is a lil tight apparently.

(It comes to an end very quickly, i wouldn't advise crossing it to be honest, but curiosity got the better of me. If you do you're probably safer on the ladders😬)

Thats all for now folks. I hope the pictures are to an acceptable standard. All feedback is welcomed. Have any of you explored the tight squeezes on the lower left hand passage? I noted atleast 1 side passage that looked to open up again but didn't wish to push my luck too far.
