A little behind the large number of visits a few weeks back, but felt I should see this place before it gets damaged/demolished further. Did pay a visit just over a month ago while in the area, but a lot of activity in the area put me off. Still, even that visit was quite enjoyable (nothing funnier than seeing a pikey spot you for the first time then scrabbling/half falling down a roof to hide behind a parapet).
Visited again on Friday and gained access this time, spent a good few hours there wandering around
. Felt more like a proper explore than the last few I've done for some reason.
Pictures -
Hartwood has some great creepy trees -
Heading up the tower pretty early on -
The 'clocks' from the inside, each one 9 ft in diameter -
3 record sleeves -
Inside the sewing room -
Heading towards Laundry now, can you tell? -
Laundry bags -
Generators -
Now it was time to find the mortuary, which took quite a while. Ended up in the forest in front of the hospital and found this -
Nothing much to be seen though, so back to the hospital where I eventually found it.
Small injury sustained around this point while trying to exit the fridges after taking a pic. Rather than sliding off the tray as planned, it slid along on its rollers until the point where it tipped, bashing my head into the rollers above
Body mover -
Viewing window -
Toe tag (I think?) -
Time to leave -
All in all a good explore, and probably my longest single explore including time to get there and back, must have been about 18 hours or so.
There was also definately someone else on site near the end, was anyone from here at Hartwood on Friday?
