A few pics from my little trip with monk and Anthony the other day. Monks pics can be found here http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=12649
It all started at this here pilbox in Hailsham.
Then it was off to RAF Pevensey. Not a great deal left and a pain in the arse to get to because its in the middle of marsh land and surrounded by rivers and ditches.
The receiver block
We had a look at the transmitter and receiver buried reserves...
...but they're still flooded.
Next stop was Denge, near dungeness to have a look at the sound mirrors.
These sit on a little island in the middle of a lake. The gap between you and the island is only about 10ft, too big to jump, so out came the dinghy
hardly seemed worth blowing it up so we went for a row around the lake....for fun
Then we went to St Margarets bay to have a look at the tunnels in the cliff. Then up to the battery on top of the hill.
Plotting room
A magazine
There was loads that we didn't get to see up there so we'll have to go back some time.
Next stop was The Grand shaft
And to top it off, St Martins deep shelter
Well...to top it off was a puncture half way down the motorway and for monk to tell us that he didn't have a wheel brace
It was eventually found hiding in the boot
