Skipsea ROC post opened in october 1959, and closed in september 1991, at somepoint in its lifetime a brick aircraft post was built in the corner of the compound. the last subbrit visit in 1999 records a few items remaining, shelf, cupboard, BT termination unit etc.
I first visited this post in 2008, nothing exciting to see really, just your average "seen better days ROC" with a few dead animals thrown in with the deal. The post still contained its cupboard and the main shelf.....a few flashtastic pics from that visit.....
A while ago ERNIE99_UK started the restoration, i've kept my eye on the post as i was hoping to see it fully restored and today he opened it up. This is the first time i've seen a restored post and it was a good contrast to the previous visit here.
Thanks for looking
and a well done to ERNIE99_UK for his efforts.
