History
the Former court and police office of Aberystwyth was originally built as a hotel and opened as the Queens hotel in 1866, the building was meant to be one of the most elegant hotels in Aberystwyth sitting on the sea front. Commandered as the local Royal air base and accommodation unit during the Second World War, Aberystwyth Council then bought the building, using it many purposes such as dentistry a lecture hall for the university and then a court, with the former ballroom becoming the main courtroom. The court moved to a purpose built building in 2012, it was later sold to a redevelopment company, although the conversion into apartments and potentially a spa hotel was only started, with limited evidence of this with the stripped upper floors of the building

After the scaffolding was put I had a feeling there may finally be a chance to see this place, on the start of a mine trip last year we managed to find a fairly awkward way in and explore a building that i had wanted to get into for multiple years the site is mainly stripped with signs of work being carried out throughout although it looks like it hadn't been touched in a considerable time.
