Uskmouth B, built in 1959, is one of a series of two coal fired power stations on the Usk the first of which was demolished in 2002. Uskmouth B does not currently generate power but had a capacity of 363MW when it did, enough to power Newport. The station has been mostly inactive since early 2017 due to an explosion but is likely to re-open at some point using biomass fuel.
As per usual I'm using film (Lomo 800 if anyone's interested) so this isn't massively pic heavy.
Exterior courtesy of @Polo as I forgot to take any
The Coal Delivery System:
The Turbine Hall:
I didn't take anywhere near enough frames in here.
Some Other Bits:
Not sure if Stez deserved this
The Control Room:
By far the highlight of the site, pretty sure it's from the mid 80 but feel free to correct me
Cheers for reading!
