Information - Wenallt Military Bunker (Cardiff, Jan 16)

Hey all, me and a friend sought out 'Wenallt Military Bunker'. It was used in the 1950's and had apparently been a pretty popular spot until recently. The point of this post is to make you all aware that aside from a small row that has been put through, the door is now sealed with concrete slabs (see picture). Don't get tempted though. Just as you crawl in you'll see the next doorway is also built over with concrete.

If you've got a wide-angle lens you can get some nice shots of Cardiff from the hilltop before entering the forest near the bunker. Other than that it's not worth visiting as you can only get exterior shots of the bunker. Just a warning for you all so you don't waste a few hours like me and my friend did. Cheers.

This has been sealed for ages mate, even if you do get inside its a burnt out shell really after numerous fires in the past.

Oh, the last post I could find about people who had been there is mid-2014 and the exterior and main interior door were both open for business. We're not from around Cardiff so maybe it's local knowledge.

Sealed 2014 yep, nothing in there worth seeing now though, completely empty now.

If there was a warning option against going to a place as it's not worth it then I would have chosen that.
