Given the current status of the site, this was a time limited mission. Access was very easy. If you're interested, do hurry, as it will likely be flattened within 14 days.

Wet 'n' Wild in North Shields, UK, was once one of the largest indoor waterparks in the country. Opened in 1993, it featured a range of attractions, including water slides, wave pools, and rapids, making it a popular destination for families in the North East of England. Located in the Royal Quays complex, the park enjoyed significant popularity during its early years but faced operational challenges over time.

The park closed temporarily in 2013 when its operator went into administration. It was later taken over by Serco Leisure in 2014. However, declining attendance and high operating costs led to reduced seasonal hours from 2019 onwards. Despite efforts, the park closed permanently in February 2020 (before Covid) due to financial losses.

In August 2024, Bloom Developments purchased the site and right now, demolition is ongoing.

Mythical find, really good photos too. You mentioned demolition is ongoing do you know if anything is still there? Would love to explore it before it goes

There is enough left at the moment. The tower might be the last to go, but they are making really good progress with the front of the building so far.

Agree with everything you've said buddy. I checked last night and at present, there's still enough there to explore though, give it a go :)

Usually so the members of the metal stealing community don't walk off with the demolition company's profits.
