Decided to do a return visit to Blackley on a trip with a fellow photographer.
History;
The company who used this place was 'Wilkinsons of Elland', started by Samuel Wilkinson and his sons Fred and Arthur were managers. In 1983 the company was taken over by Butterly Bricks and the site closed in 1985.
The visit;
Was out with a friend wanting to see some of my photography and generally looking for something to do. Got to the site to see that Balfer Beatty are now on site using it as a storage facility while working on the nearby M62 upgrades. Got some strange looks, but we were left well alone.
I would have got a lot more photos, but my battery decided to die after about an hour and half. We did go on to visit Southpoint in Leeds, but because I had no battery couldnt get anything.
Turns out my Canon charger was at fault not charging the battery
