Evening all. Since I spotted this place when on the way home from work a few months ago, I decided it was time to get out exploring again. There's not much to see here, but it's a more interesting way to spend my evening taking photos than sat in front of the TV.
History:
This casemate is of type FW3/22. During World War II, these bunkers were used for the defense of the United Kingdom against a possible enemy invasion. They were built in 1940 and into 1941.

I'm guessing this concrete pillar is to support the roof?
