    Evening all,

This report covers two days; I first came across the building via the forums, and wanted to check it out as a potential photoshoot location. I did a recce, and found that most of the mansion has stayed in generally the same condition since the fire.

I wish I could have seen this place in it's hayday; some of the decor is absolutely fantastic.

Disappointingly, the balustrades on the second floor have now been knocked through and are littered around downstairs.

Also, most of the original stained glass is now missing as well.

Some places went unexplored, due to going around solo; I want to know what's down this trapdoor at some point...

Sunlight was fading by this point, so I decided to get out, especially since the damp conditions were making me a little nervous. Fast-forward to a week later, I came back to the mansion with two assistants and a model in tow, as well as a complete blizzard. I thought that the staircase would make an excellent location for a bridal shoot, and the model had gotten married about two months prior, so it made for some excellent timing! Apparently, not for the young couple who were walking up to the mansion though; I think we disturbed their plans when we leant out of the window and waved hi, as they scarpered faily quickly! After that, there were no more interruptions, and we got on with the shoot...

The rest of the photos from the day are here : http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.498673836822842.109435.139104459446450&type=1&l=3cccce159d; we only got a few different locations before the cold and light forced us back home for coffee and mulled wine!

All in all, the mansion is still worth a look, and I plan on heading back to explore the service tunnels later; has anyone been down there at all?
