Site 2 of the Teeside state of decay is this little gem of a find...

After the Transporter bridge, we went to have a scout about before sleeping in the car... after a quick look we decided to get on board and chill on the ship and wait for light...

    History>

Tuxedo Royale (ex-TSS Dover) was a former car ferrier, used as permanently moored floating nightclub in the United Kingdom from the 1980s to the 2000s. The ship saw use on the River Tyne in Newcastle upon Tyne, but was moved to Middlesborough when it's sister boat Tuxedo Princess (ex-TSS Caledonian Princess) was moved from Glasgow to Newcastle, taking it's place.

see the promo vid (mad if you have explored the site) >

The site is a derp inside now with limited interior, but still a good explore, recently the ship has been the subject to talk about a refurbishment : "Businessman Terry Owens, of Yarm, is spearheading the campaign, which it is believed would need around £14m to restore the ship and turn it into a training centre for young shipbuilding engineers."

what a start to the weekend....

the next site would take us into Stockton... sadly the picture house was very derp, and with terrible lighting and the risk with using the work lighting - we decided to move on...

Loving the little video addition. Nice report. I bet it was difficult wandering around there in the middle of the night.

It's good below decks. We went during the day, so there was plenty of light. Bit dirty if you go too far down though

mostly derped out, mega dusty made photos tricky too, probably asbestos - some bits are a decent explore, the office area with the files was entertaining reading but mostly smashed to pieces.
