This Foxtrot-class submarine was built in the late 1960s and was in active service until 1994, when it was brought to England and opened as a museum. Since then it's been moved from place to place and is currently sitting in the middle of the Medway, where's its awaiting repairs. It's currently listing to one side due to a hole in the ballast tanks.

While in service, it was armed with 22 torpedos, two with nuclear warheads.

After hearing from Dan about it, a friend and I decided to venture down with a dingy... Soon enough we reach the sub and after a bit of faffing about, we're inside.

If anyone decides to go, the pigeon situation is seriously nasty. I recommend taking a big stick to fight them off as they all go berserk as soon as you get inside and decide to fly at your head...

Inside it all seems intact and in good condition... incredible in fact. It's hard to believe the council isn't interested in supporting it as a museum.

I know a lot of you will be familiar with this, as the owner was happy to have explorers mooch around it a few years ago. This no longer seems to be the case though... In fact, the the new(?) manager claims to have rigged it with silent alarms. We were in there for over four hours though, so I can only assume Kent police were very, very busy that night...
