    Upper Heyford RAF/USAF site in Oxfordshire is quite unique. The main road goes right between the airside and non airside. We did not manage to get around the airside, but had quite an extensive rummage around both the RAF and USAF non airside - barracks etc.

    Some interesting contrasts between the two - the USAF section really is a little part of USA in rural Oxfordshire.

    There's lots of history well documented on the internet .... and it's a popular site that's still in good condition
