Our trip through former Jugoslavia has taken us down to the Adriatic sea through breathtaking scenery and many detours thanks to Garmin:wanker. Finally we reached the coast and wanted to test if our french built Renault rental was up for some offroad action. After building some temporary road solution for getting of the main road we were on the road leading down to the tunnel. Halfway down we had to retreat in reverese upphill almost killing the clutch lighting up engine failure lamps on the dashboard

So we took our gear and started walking down hoping that the sky would not open up and start pouring again. We were lucky...

This object is a protected tunnel for warships / submarines. A large tunnel connected with underground areas housing electric generators, storage areas and fuel tanks. The underground complex is connected with a ladder (none of us were brave/stupid enough to climb) going up through the mountain some 30 meters to a former small fortress/lookout overlooking the bay.

Visited with Bunkrologen and other fellow explorers. Bunkrologens photos will follow further down.
