    HISTORY

Waterbarn Baptist Church was built in 1847 with the first services taking place on Christmas Day. The building was enlarged in 1868 with a 2 storied school being built at the back. Repairs and improvements took place in 1919 and a new primary school opened in 1921.

The building was sold to a private buyer in 2006 and leased to the church, but due to lack of funds the last service took place on 16 May 2010.

Today [May 2012] the building is in a very dangerous state of decay and there is no access to the graveyard.

Fortunately, some of the records have been preserved due to the foresight and dedication of Pauline Ormerod, who has photographed and recorded every memorial inscription in the graveyard, together with a transcription of the Graves Register.

    REPORT

well where do I start this wasn't even on the list for the day but after six failed attemps in other locations I couldn't be arsed going home without at least a derp and this turned out to be exactly that .

entry was easy as fook and on entering it became clearly obvious one wrong move in here would be my last
the roof is caved in and rests precariously on the upper levels almost daring you to go further making you see if you have the fackin minerals.

apart from the usual church type stuff theres seems to be a mass of street lighting covers enough for half of west Yorkshire and I can only assume there was a sunday school here as well as there seemed to be a hell of a lot of kids stuff bikes, stationary books/comics and what not.

so anyway there I was walking about taking the piks trying to keep safe when crack floor goes fuck :turd :eek:luckily theres no basement or id of been mega fooked :D :Not Worthy anyways on with the piks
