    Intro..

This was always set for a revisit has last time did not get inside due to builders etc. So picked a perfect time to go. Went with a few friends and the missus. Now this place has changed since my last visit cause its the first time i have ever been caught lol And caught we was by a farmer and his gun. Things have definitely changed has now its being used has a pheasant breeding and shooting range and the farmer kindly suggested we all left at risk of being accidentally shot. Has we made our way back several shots where heard. But we did not give in and went a different way. And waited till it got later and darker. When we set of on this new route we came across the very thing he mentioned Signs and feed and huts stating pheasant breeding and shooting. Wow he was serious. Anyway we did make it after several scares and a very very dark route in and back lol. And these are the pics i got hope you enjoy this awesome place. One last thing the stairs are now completely gone only small sections are still there. However we noticed the builders have uncovered several tunnels under the place. These where very deep down like a good 7 to 8 foot drop. We did get inside one section that showed other rooms underneath the building that where either collapsed or blocked in some way. Anyways enjoy all.

    History: From wiki
Winstanley Hall is a late 16th-century house in Winstanley, in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester. It is listed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II listed building.Originally built for the Winstanley family, the building is one of only three Tudor buildings in the Borough. The hall was built in the 1560s for the Winstanley family of Winstanley; the Winstanley family were lords of the manor since at least 1252 and may have been responsible for building the moat on the site. The Winstanleys owned the hall until 1596, when the estate was sold to James Bankes, a London goldsmith and banker.Winstanley Hall has three storeys and has a date stone with a date of 1584, but this is not in situ so may not provide an accurate date for the construction of the house. The building is now owned and controlled by Dorbcrest Homes and is somewhat derelict. Rules for entry are clearly stated on numerous sign posts on the path leading to the property. The house is guarded by guard dogs and uses CCTV to record people's movements around the property and its grounds

Lol the old goon and his gun, I thought he'd passed on by now lol

He did once fire it off at close range with a group around 2009, he ended up taking a window frame out

I think a fair few of us have had run ins with him now, just ignore the silly old twat!

That old goon is actually really nice if you meet him on friendlier terms.

Won't be long before this is rubble anyway, so it hardly matters.

Some nice shots in there too. :D
