Ok another solo visit. And this one messed me up cause i had no idea how hidden it was. And therefore entrance was very very funny indeed Fields,Farmers fields,Streams etc. It was an explore just finding this. But after getting there it was awesome. However i must have picked a bad bad day cause there where workers everywhere and big rigs going in and out. I was spotted on the outskirts by 3 of them and thought ohh well they going to turf me out but luckily they went on by and has did i. Inside the buildings not only looked a bit messed up there where that many people about i couldn't get near. However after taking some nice shots a very very nice builder spotted me and said " You know there is a nice fountain back here would you like some pics" Hell yea. Thats what i went for the awesome courtyard and fountain. He also said they doing weather proofing to it looks like its going to slowly come back to itself.

    History: From wiki
Winstanley Hall is a late 16th-century house in Winstanley, in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester. It is listed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II listed building.Originally built for the Winstanley family, the building is one of only three Tudor buildings in the Borough. The hall was built in the 1560s for the Winstanley family of Winstanley; the Winstanley family were lords of the manor since at least 1252 and may have been responsible for building the moat on the site. The Winstanleys owned the hall until 1596, when the estate was sold to James Bankes, a London goldsmith and banker.Winstanley Hall has three storeys and has a date stone with a date of 1584, but this is not in situ so may not provide an accurate date for the construction of the house. The building is now owned and controlled by Dorbcrest Homes and is somewhat derelict. Rules for entry are clearly stated on numerous sign posts on the path leading to the property. The house is guarded by guard dogs and uses CCTV to record people's movements around the property and its grounds Intresting.

Deffo cant wait to see the finished place. Could be awesome but long way off yet. Its the only place i ever went where you could feel the history if you know what i mean. Like the dirt path up to it imagine all the horse and carts with the lords and ladies WOW stunning.
