    Sounds as if it was hidden by being on the inside (against the wall) of the skirting board for many years.

    yes it was 40 years later the school had another renovation an so was found how right he is about hitler being a little more history to digest tho

    Solid oak skirting's not common these days - apart from in my kitchen. No scribblings there, mind.
