I've been after this place ever since I saw the first report from Host. I checked it out a few times and even though there was climbing involved I wasn't going to let that deter me from attempting to get in. Thanks to Camera Shy I was third time lucky. As I left the house it suddenly dawned on me that I forgot the tripod :banghead I didn't have enough time to return home so I made my journey into Manchester. I was initially quite worried about trying to get some decent shots with minimal lighting and no torch with me either! as it turns out I didn't do too badly and got away with very little camera shake. It does help to have steady hands :D

There's no real history on the place other than various different clothing manufacturers occupying the building over however many number of years. A lot of the machinery have gone and the building itself looks in such a dire state. Being open to the elements has also helped to speed up the decaying process internally and externally. The top floor is occupied by pigeons with the ever mounting pigeon poo, not helped by the rain coming in through the windows and possibly the roof.

There are lots of bits and pieces still remaining and make for some lovely shallow depth of field images, although parts of the building looks like a landfill site. If you like your derps then you will find plenty to keep you occupied for an hour or two.

It's a little bit pic heavy as I got a bit carried away, like I normally do when I'm in places like this :)
