Haven't been on for a while but don't think this has been mentioned.Couldn't find it in search.
I was reading a book today that mentioned,"A large underground air raid shelter was built on the roundabout on Studfall Avenue near the Open Hearth pub.....Robert Hughes"
Looking at google street view there's definitely something there.

I used to live very close to that roundabout on Studfall and my ex-mother in law told me she used to go down into the air raid shelter on the round about. I know nothing else about it but would be very interested on more info.
