My first attempt at a night visit report so here goes.

The visit was inspired by the reports of HiddenShadow and ZerO81 who took some amazing photos and gave a good history of the building.

I visited at night with 3 none members in an attempt to capture the feeling of the place just by torchlight. The pictures are as we saw it while we explored the building, it was dark and very foggy out and although large from the outside once inside and surrounded by the dark save for the beams from our torches the place felt far smaller. The interior has been stripped out and is in very good condition although the renovation work appears to have been halted some time ago.

Whilst there I tried to find the locations of some of the daytime photography to give a contrast.

At the top of the main stairs.

    Corridor railings.

    Rest for the weary explorer.

    A deep decent?

In need of a lick of paint.

    Abandoned renovation.

    Upper corridor.

    Remnants of the past.

    Portal to the unknown.

    My favourite of the explore.

If I'd have seen this first I wouldn't have gone in.

If you would like to see all the pictures (blurry and all), the full size set is here.
