    Hi folks,

The second report for me now is a site I had always wanted to see - Battersea power station.

I'm going to be really lazy and supply the link to wikipedia where the history can be seen. Battersea Power Station - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What I can say is that I know it was closed down due to a phenomenon in London that involved a huge amount of sulphur infused fog and a lot of deaths so anything that burned coal in an urban area had to be stopped - BPS was part of this.

    Anyway, moving on...

The team was myself and my overly keen for mischief bro.

We recce'd the place 2 weeks before one Sunday and spent a long time trying to figure out the best route in. Unfortunately, works are well underway now to the redevelopement but at least we managed to get some shots and experience the place now :)

On the recce we found there to be on-site 24hr security and cameras everywhere, which were monitored. Nonetheless, we decided the best route involved a bit of spec-ops style skill (well, not quite but we like to think so!).

We proceeded to a very easy entrance into the now building site and explored. We was pretty alone until we went to attempt entrance to the machinery. This proved to be unsuccessful due to footsteps of workers.

Rather than risk having only a 50% mission success rate, we decided to call it a night and make our exit. Lesson learned - don't take the risks, you don't get the prize, GUTTED!

Here's a few shots of how it looks as of May 2013!

    Thanks for reading.
