Nottingham for much of the 20th century was well known for its 'big three' companies - John Player and Sons who produced cigarettes, Raleigh and Boots.

Boots needs no introduction really, as they're a stalwart of 'anytown UK'.

I'm not really well informed on the history of this lab, the building dates back to the 1930s, however was extended in the 1960s. It operated as these labs until the early 2000s I believe.

The building was acquired by Wilson Bowden (who coincidentally also own the former Derby Magistrates Court) and was demolished a few months after visiting. An office building is planned for the site, though I don't believe any progress has been made on this.

Despite extensive pikey activity with the buildings wire, much of the lab stuff remained unscathed and was quite a nice place to wander around, a rarity in Nottingham if I don't mind saying so :p

Picture's are a bit bleh to be honest, I apologise in advance.
