As title really- Spotted it from a distant road due to the lack of leaves on the trees- Normally hidden by trees on top of a hill.

Visible from the A417 near the M50 junction, but it's approx 400m away up the hill, and access is from Broomsbarrow Rd, via a dirt track by the looks of it

I've Googled it the best I can, and no joy on what it is, but Google Street View shows access is through the trees between a bungalow and what I 'think' is a nursing home or some kind of special needs place (the gates on the pic).

    Here's some pics via Google-

I know Severn Trent Water had bunkers dotted around everywhere, is this one of them?

Shame I'm not in the area again soon or I'd go have a nosey.

Looks like a covered reservoir to me. They site share a lot with communication companies. Theres a few i know of , one at the lickey hills on monument lane owned by severn trent and a mast used by O2 and what was Orange, and another at barr beacon on beacon road (the view from the mast on this site are something else) . I might be wrong but thats what it looks like to me :-)

Deffo not one of the severn trent bunkers, they are all accounted for and only one is accessible but hardly worth the visit. I agree with Jellyfish; looks like a small covered reservoir. If it is a mobile mast then it needs leaving alone unless you want to fry your eyes and nads!

For your info: Seven Trent has bunkers at Blunsdon (near Swindon), Widdenton (Buckinghamshire) and Donnington (Goucestershire) at least. Possibly more.

Having been to all 3 above, i can confirm that they were all built exactly the same and what you show in the pic above is definitely not it.

Supposedly they've got one at Staverton under the ST offices too. IIRC all but 3 were built under buildings rather than stand-alone bunkers
