    Hi all,

Me and a friend visited Camelot Theme Park in summer of this year; it's a good two hour drive but a great visit when you're in.

We set off late in the day (about 12:30) and arrived at about 14:00. What would have been the main entrance has since been boarded off; the fact that this was also an entrance to a busy nearby hotel and paintballing complex meant that we had to find an alternative entrance.

Parking some distance away, we walked the perimeter of the original site taking note of the dog patrol and CCTV warning signs before [REMOVED]
Nevertheless we found [REMOVED], climbing [REMOVED]

    This led to [REMOVED]

As we approached the crest of a hill before reaching the tents, we spotted a white security van and promptly kept low, clear and to the edge of the site compound.

The 'Knightmare' roller coaster was manned with a security guard and therefore not accessible and so we decided to take our photos in the distance on the site perimeter where a speedy exit could be made if needed without much hassle.

Walking around the complex, we explored the Jousting Arena, a staff-room, the Priate Galleon (which we were able to gently push and ride for the very last time!) and much of the outer site. In all an extremely eery place, even in blazing sunshine. Being sat on a galleon seat, slowly rocking back and forth, staring out into a fibreglass fairy-tale world, listening only to the rustling of trees in a gentle summer wind was a feeling I can't really describe!

The Dungeons (which we were really looking forward to seeing) were sadly cordoned off with breezeblock. While we likely would have been able to get in, there was no guarantee of getting out, neither was there any guarantee it wasn't alarmed or covered with infra-red CCTV and given the close proximity of the Security HQ (being inside the very next tent), we eventually decided to excercise better judgement and leave it. Interestingly enough, while we were making the decision, as we were sandwhiched between both the internal hardboard structure of the Dungeons and the tarpaulin of the tent - a security guard passed about two meters from where we were standing on the outer side!

Adreneline pumping, we made a stealthy exit!

    Here's the photo's, enjoy!

Sadly, I understand this beautiful site is shortly to be demolished to make room for green housing.

    Thanks for looking!
