Some further reading and history here

We weren't sure it would still be open, luckily it was. Made our way in, the first thing that's inspiring is the depth. Looking down one of the main shafts...

...you can see the orange cable coiling it's way down the steps.

    On the way down...

The ventilation was running, one dead motor on the floor, one motor running, loudly...

    Various tunnel shots...

    Connecting tunnel...

And one of the main tunnels, bottom deck...

Some detail of a maintenance plan on the wall...

    Connecting tunnel again...

Ventilation going up the steps that would have come out at Clapham tube station...

    Main tunnels, top deck...

There's not many places you can see both floors at the same time, except for here...

Amazing place, Solid constuction and deep underground! There was the rumbling overhead of LU trains and signs of workers to keep us on our toes!

I hope no one minds me asking but whereabouts is this map? I've had two good looks around there (clearly not good enough!) and managed to miss it both times :(

It's at the end of one of the tunnels, in a small substation type room. It's quite faded, I've tweaked the picture so you can see the detail.
