The last explore of the weekend with jackal and even managed to drag my dad along :D who seemed surprisingly full of knowledge of the whole place,
with storys of the tunnels used as storage during the war and so on.

The tunnel is on the Abergavenny to Brynmawr railway. This was built upon Baileys Tramway which ran from ironworks at Nantyglo to the Govilon wharf of the Brecon and Abergavenny Canal.

The railway was originally single track but it was doubled in 1877. The tunnel is about 300m long.

The line was closed in 1958
