I went to Dover with Chess and Jackal after a lot of nagging :D. We did a few places, Archcliffe gate, St Martins battery, St Margaret's deep shelter and a plotting room at South Foreland.

Archcliffe Gate was knocked down in the 1960's but below ground level some cells and rooms still exist.

    One of the gunrooms.

This panel use to slide in and out to change the air flow within the cells.

One of the cells with the remains of the door.

St Martins battery over looks Dover docks, this was originally a napoleonic battery and was added to during WW2.

Napoleonic tunnel leading to the magazine and WW2 deep shelter.

Part of the WW2 deep shelter.

20thC brick work on top of 19thC in the battery

St Margaret's aka Z Rocket deep shelter is a WW2 shelter for St Margaret's Bay battery.

    Inside the shelter

    The emergency exit tunnel.

South Foreland was a WW2 battery with 2 plotting rooms 2 deep shelters and 4 magazines.

We went in one of the plotting rooms.

    On the way out.
