EC Pigments/Hempshaw Brook Brewery Stockport. The beauty of this explore is that the same building has had more than one use, both have left their own parts to shoot, the brewery been the first to occupy the building leaving only a small but beautiful part. the main part was owned by ec pigments( European Colour) the place has been shut a while and the usual lot have had their fair share of goodies that said its still worth the visit. the main area for mixing looks like a load of kids have gone mental with paint leaving everything yellow and red and in the sun this only made it more vibrant. the labs are quite interesting with a fantastic shower which wont look out of place in an apartment. EC Pigments were formed in 2000 with the integration of European colour pigments and Roma Color Inc the company are a global supplier of organic pigments for printing ink plastics and coatings with colours such as lake red 2B reds and arylide yellow to name few. not to sure on the exact date of closure.

    Hepshaw Brook Brewery
Brewing was established on this site as far back as 1836 by Avery Fletcher who advertised the sale of Ale and Porter, the quality of which he claimed was due to the purity of the water from the Hempshaw Brook, by 1851 Avery Fletcher had withdrawn from the business and Henry Bell and Joseph Smith trading as smith and bell the brewery became a Ltd company in 1897 , the brewery was taken over again in 1949 and ran for many years.
