Finally got to explore here after wanting to do it for ages. Was in town and got a text from matty1912 saying he had secured access to the place, so i made my way there as fast as i could. Unfortunately a large part of the site was destroyed in a huge fire in 2005, including the large 1860's mill on the main road. The remaining parts are small in comparison to how big the place once was. It took us an hour to look round only half of whats still left though.

Old trolley. Martins Dyers were the last company to use the main part of the site, now mostly demolished

    fj2.jpg
There were a few of these around

    fj3.jpg
Nice old tin sign, never heard of the company though

    fj4.jpg
There was lots of unused stationary from different eras, some of it still in original packaging

    fj13.jpg
Some of the stairs were thick with paperwork

    fj9.jpg
This had been torn down, revealing a much nicer wooden sign where
    it had been

    fj5.jpg
Presumably the bosses offices were here, wood paneling everywhere,
    even in the toilets

These toilets were so wrong, the partitions were made of glass!!

These are matty1912's pics, he asked me to post them up as he's still got to get the hang of using an image hosting site.
