German Tour Pt 1 ….Host and Timster on a four day trip around Germany, 11 explores no fails. the reports are in three parts kicking off with Industrial, we only managed one big industrial explore and one fluke explore, wind power but still industrial in it's day. The weekend started with a 5am start off to the airport jump on a plane a quick flight to Dusseldorf where i met Tim. from here we headed to our first location and by 3pm we were well on our way for a fantastic four day trip…the second day saw us heading to an old paper mill power plant, this was one of 3 must sees for me this weekend. Day 2 and another 5am start and a short drive to this epic site, in the middle of know where so no real graff or smashed up control rooms just natural decay…this place is amazing and a joy to explore and shoot.

Next was a complete fluke explore, not on the list but whilst driving to the next location we passed this windmill. at first i wanted to stop for an external shot only not really thinking much would be inside, however on closer examination i could sees way in so i climbed up inside and was very pleasantly surprised to find a lot of original workings, all beautifully made of wood, a real nice little find. it was nice to find the date carved into one of the beams 1878...

+1 to that, great stuff... the time and effort taken really shows.

Glad you got to see the paper mill, well worth the mileage and some.
