Having half an hour to kill in Glossop I thought I'd have a wander up to see the ROC post. According to Sub Brit the post is 'LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the green plaint. The hatch is locked.' <sic> when they visited in September 2000. Well, the padlocks are still in place but the hasps have been cut off, these have now rusted and cannot be moved (by hand at least) barring entry.

The view looking south west over the town.

    West towards Sheffield

And one of the 'broken' hasps

So, could be trashed or could be a good 'un, I'm in two minds whether I should nip up with a tin of WD40!!
