    Hi All!

Went here after a couple of failed visits at a couple of places we thought we could get in. One of them was a no go, mainly with one of them facing a place where they make passports and we would of been seen very easily!

We visited this place, seen some pictures from Aug and was not really expecting much but it still got me out of the house!

Hartford Mill was built 1907 by the Hartford Mill (Oldham)Co Ltd.
It was extended 1920 and 1924 and closed 1959.
In later years it was used by Littlewoods as a mail order warehouse until 1992.
The mill's Architect was F W Dixon, there were 120,000 spindles and power was provided by a very impressive 1500 hp Urmson & Thompson engine.

Me and my mate was very disappointed how this place has been left, we could only imagine the noise when this place was in full motion and its such a shame, but we all know it will be pulled down rather than being renovated.
