    First report so here goes:

This Mill is one of a series built by the fourth Duke of Portland, known as “Leatherbreechesâ€￾ in the late 1700s and early 1800s. in a record of 1832, seven mills were described asâ€￾ extensive cotton millsâ€￾, each with their capacious dams of crystal water, reflecting the buildings and the adjacent hills,â€￾ one of these seven was Hermitage Mill. Built in 1782 it was the first mill to be built on the Maun after the 'Arkwright revolution'. Richard Arkwright introduced the first water-wheel-powered, mechanised spinning frame in 1771 at Cromford Mil. The mill still stands today, until recently used by a building supplies company.

a good explore, I plan to go back as time was limited other half was watching desperate houswewives so only had an hour, hope you enjoy.
