Report - Jaguar Plant, Browns Lane, Coventry - 12/5/07

    'Home' of Jaguar, Browns lane was where the flagship XK model was produced until a few years ago. These days the main remaining activities are marketing and veneer, with the majority of the plant now out of use.

    With the time that has passed since the end of production, it wasn't a big surprise to see that the sheds were empty. There was still something oddly impressive though - vast spaces with fantastic elongated shadows from the occasional sources of light.

    Whether it was worth the effort we had to make to get in I'm not sure, but as it hadn't been explored before, we really wanted to get and find what it looked like.

    Tucked away in corners there's just the occasional bit of equipment left...
