I visited this chapel a few days back...but decided to hold on to a report until I had the chance to revisit during the daytime.
Visited today on a day visit to Middlesex Hospital with 'Angel'
Although its in the Hospital...its so ornate and 'lush' I figured it deserved its own 'special' report.
It looks like despite the carnage around it ( and above it on the organ baclony) they are trying to preserve this place....there are a few convection heaters on full blast inside to help control the damp.

Lots of marble /pretty tiling and when theres enough light to show it...beautiful gold and green colouring everywhere.

Its not huge...a baptism font...room for pews and the alter...but looks very well used and functional

A large incense burner hangs over the alter section.

    The alter section.

Above the baptism font....wonderful colour in the tiling and glass.

All the windows are still very much intact...and great to view.

In the entrance hall are lots of memorial plaques...to mostly Staff who worked at the Hospital....some dating back as far as the 1800's!

The lighting is still active in the chapel....although its much better with 'natural light' as well as the fact that the chapel is on the regular patrol route for security and the internal lighting is very bright !
Angel has gotten some great shots using the candles for lighting....I'm sure they will be uploaded soon !

Ive got loads more shots from here ...but these will do for now :thumb
