Hi Guys. First proper solo explore after being introduced by a mate with a tour around Denbigh, who suggested Pool Park. We went on from here to Denbigh and then Gwrych Castle, making quite a day of it, but I think I'm supposed to do separate reports for each so I will do.

Not sure how much history I should post as I imagine it's been done to death - but this is a summary from WhateversLeft:

The hospital is in a beautiful part of Wales and the walk up to it through some woodland was quite unassuming until it loomed out of the trees. We'd read mixed reports about 24/7 security and the site being difficult to access, but we had no problems getting in and it was very quiet (maybe because it was Sunday.) We managed to spend about two and a half hours walking carefully around as the uppers floors are in quite poor condition, and while most of it is very deserted there are some interesting bits and bobs lying around in the basement.

The most fun was had confusing the bats on the second floor who were determined to resist my attempts at getting a photo.

Great start to an awesome day though.
