Let's see, history: Belgium has a whole bunch of power plants. Belgium decided to shut down all its power plants and buy power from elsewhere. The End.

(Well, not really. *rubs hands* Whee!)

After several months of having way too much shit to do, Defender came up with one of his usual top quality lists of places to visit last Saturday.

We managed two out of four, not bad considering that this one was in such nice shape that we kept re-unpacking our gear and shooting some more turbines after each time having "finally" decided to put our things away and leave. Zero graffiti, no vandalism, tons of toys, everything absolutely top notch.

The place is in ace shape, which is more than I can say for myself. I can imagine the comedy of a bunch of forty-something dudes, laden with equipment, trying to be stealthy while brazenly climbing barbed wire fences in full view of security cameras. In the end, we didn't even get busted by the worker who came in downstairs to muck around - thankfully his little daughter whom he'd taken to work with him kept moaning about wanting to go home, so we could tell when he'd left).

If you visit, for god's sake bring a neutral gray card. The lights are mostly on, and they're some kind of weird bulb that will utterly fuck your white balance (hence the inconsistent tone in some of the pics.) Enjoy and say hi to the sheep.
