This place is just amazing, but I will say if you are going to visit be prepared to get muddy.... This was visit 2 of 3 of the day and a great chance for the kids to have some fun and all of us to stretch n climb. The sight is just unbelievable. We stopped here for about an hour

RAF Stenigot was a World War II radar station situated at Stenigot, Lincolnshire. It was part of the Chain Home radar network, intended to provide long range early warning for raids from Luftflotte V and the northern elements of Luftflotte II along the approaches to Sheffield and Nottingham and the central midlands.

The site was decommissioned in the late 80's and partly demolished in 1996. These abandoned Tropospheric Scatter Dishes, once part of NATO ACE HIGH communication system, are one of the few remaining features of the base
