At just under 5ft this unassuming RCP pokes out from underneath a low bridge/footpath

Again it was one of those recces I had just never bothered to take a closer look at until now..

The river flows through this culverted section stretching from the outfall which snakes underground for approx half a mile before reaching a grilled infall

Along the way several manholes, a catchment pit an interesting junction with stairs, another junction upstream with a 2ft connecting surface drain and a long section of CMP before reaching the infall

But before you get to see all that stuff it's a long slog through a stoopy, repetitive concrete pipe!

Barely a 5ft RCP which connects the various features before leading to the infall

Mid Junction - Here a lesser stream joins the river

Upper Junction - Here a 2ft connecting drain, with an adjoining section of CMP

CMP - This was around 200 yards long before reaching the infall
