Founded in 1852 to accommodate poor and orphaned children, this former Jesuit school was later, in 1925, transformed into a Central Reformatory. Studied here the only Portuguese Nobel Prize in Medicine Egas Moniz (1885-1889). From 1962 it was renamed Saint Fiel Reeducation Institute "Science education has achieved wide circulation in Saint Fiel Latin studies, philosophy and science with good teachers helped by the offices and laboratories of experimentation." I do not know when this school was closed. This is the first set of images, in a couple of days I will post the rest of it...

Curiosity: São Fiel means Loyal Saint :)
