Went for a little ride on my bike the other day and came across this area.
There were no signs saying no trespassing or anything like that. Just lots of signs warning not to pick up anything in case it goes BANG!
It was the most desolate, eerie, bleak place I have seen.

    Looking back at watch tower.

The first thing I saw was a load of old bomb casings.

I think this is an aircraft machine-gun target.

Spot the used 20mm round. There were loads of these and .303 and 7.62 rounds everywhere.

These are aircraft tailwheel tyres, about 3ft wide. You can see the damage a 20mm round does.

These are plastic 200litre drums with more 20mm damage.

Lots of this stuff laying around. Any ideas?

My bike on the target mound. You can see the run-in laid out in the marshes.

Bike again, plus evidence of recent shots fired at ground. The little craters were new.

    Old vehicles used as targets.

At this point my bloody camera ran out of battery so I thought it would be a good idea to get the hell out of there.
