About 150 yards south of the trig point, this post wasn't too hard to find. Closed in 1991, what I assume are the original telegraph poles still stand, with the original wires. However, the post has been somewhat covered by the undergrowth and no where near represents the pictures on SubBrit.
Sadly the post (despite previous reports here and elsewhere) was locked and secured rather well with 4 padlocks. The FSM tube appeared to be welded shut and we couldn't find the rear ventilation shaft (probably hidden amongst the dense undergrowth). All in all a pretty disappointing visit, but hopefully no one else will waste their time trying to find it!

Apologies for the low quality photos, I had to use my phone as my camera died.

Original lines (?) with insulators hanging off one line

The hatch hidden in the bushes

    Unfortunately locked

Found this on the way out, buried in the dirt just near the FSM tube.
(I realise now it somewhat blends in to the dirt but its an old monkey wrench, possibly original?)

    Thanks for looking
