History:
Broomhill Lido in Ipswich opened in 1936 as an outdoor swimming pool and quickly became a popular spot for locals. It was built in the Art Deco style, featuring a large pool surrounded by green spaces for sunbathing and socializing. The lido became an important part of the community...
I honestly have loads of unposted stuff I was hoping to get up while things are quiet, but I only seem to find time for the small shitty ones.
I have however gone for another that there is very few reports from. This really was a flying visit late last year on a miserable day, not that much to...
One of the first sites that I visited when first being introduced to urban exploring, I wasn't disappointed at the tremendous view of Sheffield that was on offer at the top of this building.
You can view all my photos from this explore here on my Flickr.

Visited with Catullus.
This was a spur of the moment night visit. The place looks very different now to how to it looked in other reports on 28dl, as the swimming pool has been covered up and the diving boards have been sealed off.
History (from History):
The pool opened in April 1938. It...
Broomhill is a typical example of a country house becoming a hospital which seemed to be in vogue in the first half of the 20th Century. The main house survives with wings on both sides making up wards and nurses accommodation.
The frontage of the hospital is a rather grand stone affair, not...

After giving up on the first site of the day due to armed police on training maneuvers Shenanigans and I headed into Ipswich to do something a little more leisurely. Broomhill Lido nestles peacefully under matur trees in a pretty park on the outskirts of town. The site has been recently tagged...
Visited with the House of Flounce.
We set out at ridiculous o' clock with some of us having no sleep and having to storm on through the morning with a bottle of Powerade and lots of enthusiasm. The seven seater car was packed with blankets, pillows and bacon sandwiches and we were off...
Visited this site last week and as you can see from the pics it's rather snowy...
The pool could be filled in with sand/rubble within the next few months, which means the Broomhill Pool Trust (Broomhill Pool Trust) may never get their pool reopened.
The website has a lot of information...
Visited with Urban Shadow and friends, this little hospital near Glasgow cared for chronically ill patients from 1876 to it's closure in 1995. The condition is now ruinous - you have to be very careful as the floors are falling in all over the place.
It was once a very elegant building...
Visited today with maden_2, Pincheck and Cuban Bloodhound.
This place just seems to get more damaged every time you look at different sets of pictures. The rain didn't add to the experience, managed to get dripped on every two seconds!
Anyway here's the pictures.
The Lift...
