A brief bit of history , although most people will know it all by now:

Joseph Terry entered the confectionery business in 1823 after marrying a relative of the confectioner Robert Berry. Not too long after that Robert Berry died and his son George joined Joseph. George left the company in 1828. Slowly building up the company brand Terry's chocolate at the time of his death was begining to become a household name.
His son Joseph junior took up the reigns and contiued to expand the company. In 1926 they moved from their riverside production plant to a purpose built factory where they went on to produce terry's all gold in 1930 and then onto the famous chocolate orange in 1931.

In 1993 multi-national food giants Kraft took them over and eventually shipped production over to europe and closed the plant on 2005

Visited with God, Diehardlove and Dr. Howser as part of our Yorkshire roadtrip. Externally the architecture was pleasing, but internally i found the place quite bland being so stripped and empty
