Purely posting this to show I've not been sat on my arse for the last few months... ;) Me and jazzywheelz have actually been having very moderate success with numerous rooftops and cranes. And fail upon fail...

But this is a nice little rooftop we found one very rainy night early '14. So rainy infact, that all my shots were ruined. We returned a couple of weeks later in dryer but much windier conditions, meaning I was able to get some reasonable results before the light faded, but all my long exposures were atrocious due to not being able to keep my tripod still, even with the exposure time down to a minimum (the D70 does not get on well with high ISO numbers, as evidenced in the shot of jw!)
