Afternoon all,

Does anyone know anything about the two derelict care homes near Aylesbury?

I found them the other day by accident, went back the following day for a recce, but made no progress. The below is called Chiltern Court and across the main road, virtually next door is Coombe Lodge.

Both appeared to have been run by the same company, shut down for being incompetent and have both been heavily secured.

Chiltern Court has power and lights on inside and 3 brand new and (very) much working CCTV cameras on various parts of it. Infact the cameras were noticeably moving, following me around the grounds as I did my perimeter walk. I stopped to wave at one at one point. Nothing came of it though! :D
There is a blind spot. The bottom left hand window of the main house has had various attempts to rip the metal sheeting off and punch through (as seen in the picture above) but without success.

Coombe Lodge across the road has no CCTV but is just as well sealed up. Peeking through the gaps in the metal boards on the doors and windows, I must say the interior looks pretty close to untouched. My curiosity levels are high...!

All the best.

Like trying to find out who owns what. Chilltern Court listed as being owned by Irvine Care LImited https://www.carehomes.online/england/south-east/buckinghamshire/aylesbury-vale/world-s-end/chiltern-court-care-home/#facility but they are in administration so could be now owned by Four Seasons Care Homes- but they collapsed and are in administration - see article at https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/apr/30/four-seasons-care-home-operator-on-brink-of-administration

Coobe Lodge - http://www.bestcarehome.co.uk/services/view/coombe-lodge-care-home was run by Four Seaons (no9) Limited - I see a trend -

H/2, which is controlled by the US billionaire Spencer Haber and owns the bulk of Four Seasons’ £525m debt, is understood to be ready to provide funds to keep the business going until its future is resolved, that includes security as far as I can tell
