history
couldn't find any history on these, apart from a bait digger who told me they had been there for over 20 yrs.

explore,
parked in the local marina and took a leisurely stroll along the beach front, must have been the hottest part of the day !

could well of been, there is a row of similar type ones ( just not as boat shaped) been used to protect the banks

That's Dibden Bay, right ? What you have there is one WW2 Ferro-concrete Barge - specially a fuel barge aka PB200 and a whole bunch (39 I think) of 'Beetles' (the smaller ones) in a line.....Beetles were like little barge type pontoons on which the Whale bridges rested, creating the roadways from the Mulberry Harbour pier heads to the Normandy beach
