Passed this a few times, and noticed that there was no activity or plant machinery around for quite some time. It's actually about 1/4 mile from the Black and Decker factory that was recently demolished.
Apparently the developers went bust, and the site has just been left, apart from it has suffered some vandalism and the odd dead animal....
After wandering around for about 40mins, we were greeted by security. We did notice perimeter detection devices around the site, which you can see to the left of the second picture, and also found the main alarm transmitter (see picture) which was powered by two car batteries.
I explained to the guard what we had been doing and he was OK with it, but said we had to leave. We had taken all of our pics by then anyways
It also gave me a chance to try my new sigma 10-20mm lens
